As a Maintenance Technician you will be required to perform tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds, installation, maintenance, maintaining and repairing of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical and electrical systems on all production machines, equipment and building. May be required to perform purchasing and inventory of maintenance parts & supplies and successfully negotiate and interact with; suppliers, customers, manufacturers and internal department personnel. The incumbent is expected to be a self-starter, a good manager of time, work independently and follow standards for safety and conduct. Experience in extrusion, blow molding, injection molding or industrial packaging equipment will be required.
This position is responsible for the daily repairs, upkeep, preventive maintenance and projects for all production-related equipment ie. injection and blow molding equipment. This position is also responsible for any building repairs, preventive maintenance and projects.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a progressive manufacturing facility.
DUTIES: Performs preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.
Sets up and operates machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
Performs building maintenance duties.
Requirements
Skills and/or experience in the following areas: electrical troubleshooting, plumbing and pipe installation, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication, PLC and relay logic troubleshooting, basic machining skills, basic computer knowledge/capabilities and superior communication skills.
Preventive maintenance background.
Mechanically inclined.
Safety-minded.
Experience using a CMMS for work orders, PM’s, inventory, tracking, etc.
Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Needs to have own hand tools.
General PC skills.
